With Health & Safety being of prime importance, field personnel are trained with the CP2 Certification for confined space operations, including the use of breathing apparatus and other intrinsically safe equipment. Where an underground utility scan is not enough to accurately determine the exact location and nature of underground services, Survey Systems are able to undertake this specialist service to provide a fully detailed survey of sewers, culverts and other such confined spaces. Prior to commencing work, all sites are assessed with comprehensive RAMS documents prepared prior to work commencing.
Typical confined space environments include:
- Inspection chambers
- Storage tanks
Using the latest technologies and good survey practice, we will ensure that enclosed spaces are surveyed accurately.
Our experience in these potentially hazardous environments will provide the benefit of accurate data for the purpose of planning and design. We can identify the location and position of below ground services and infrastructure in relation to that above ground, thus minimising the need of expensive excavation or potential strikes.
